There are days when we don’t feel like styling our hair. Whether it’s a timing thing or a bad hair day, we need an alternative. But sometimes it has nothing to do with timing or whether our hair is display ready.
Because there are so many pretty scarves and head wraps available, it’s nice to wear one “just because” as a fashion statement. You can learn how to tie a scarf for that fashion forward look or purchase a head wraps that is already tied for you and all you have to do is put it on.
There are so many different ways to tie your head wraps. If you are intimidated, go to YouTube where you will find lots of how-to videos.
I love them and they’re my go-to look, just for fun. See some beautiful examples below. Again, have fun with it.
What type of hangers should I use to hang my clothing?
Great question. There are many types of hangers on the market. Some are good and some are not. The best hangers for hanging dresses and shirts are wooden, plastic or padded, but they have to be of a specific type. The wooden hangers need to be thick and rounded on the edges as well as the plastic ones.
Don’t use the wire hangers as they leave rabbit ears on the shoulder of your clothing. You don’t want to walk around with 2 little spikes on your shoulders. If you have a bunch of them, try using them for a DIY project 😃.
Pants can be hung one of two ways. They can be folded over a think hanger, that will not leave a crease in the middle like the wooden hangers above or if you have enough space in your closet you can hang them from a two prong pants hanger. This eliminates any creasing. Or you can be creative and hang your jeans from S-hooks as I show in one of my previous blog posts.
You can even find creative ways to hang your scarves. I have a lot of them so these do come in handy for me.
You can find these types of hangers at the container store, Ross, Target, Walmart and many other department stores. Again, have fun and be creative.
Comfort and Style are two words that usually don’t go together, but why? There is no reason why they can’t. There are many styles today that are very stylish and very comfortable as well. I think what is meant by “Style and Fashion don’t go together” is that not every stylish outfit you wear will fit with the most comfort. That includes your clothes down to your shoes. Now of course you don’t want to walk around hurting just to look good and that’s not the point either, but just know that not every outfit will fit like your comfy PJ’s or your favorite sweats.
I do believe that we should feel good in whatever we wear, so be sure and pick clothing that make you feel confident and stylish and that fit your lifestyle.
This post is geared toward the relaxed and “flowy” (my word) look. This look is so comfortable yet very stylish. Depending on the pieces you choose you CAN feel like you are wearing your lounge wear, but make no mistake it is not. You will want to accessorize these pieces with jewelry, scarves, handbags and more.
The good thing about some of these relaxed and “flowy” outfits is that they can hide some of those areas that we are not so fond of on our bodies (whatever those maybe for you) and we all have them. They are loose fitting and forgiving. You don’t have to tug at them much throughout the day. Just relax and enjoy how great you look and feel.
I have several of these outfits in my closet and they are my go-to outfits, especially when I’m going out to dinner. I know you can find a great go-to relaxed and “flowy” outfit that will work for you. See some examples below:
