Kaftans are dresses that are long and very flowy. Most people think of them as African wear, but they are worn by many cultures going back to the 14th century. They come in bright colors and usually have lots of embellishments. In the past they were worn for special occasions, but today kaftans are worn for any occasion by young and older women alike. You can wear them to the beach, to a wedding, to a special night out or during the day as a casual outfit. The sky is the limit. I’ve found lots of different styles of kaftans for you to consider. See below.
Jeans are one of those wardrobe staples that we love to hate. We want to wear them, because they can be comfortable and casual, but they can also be awkward and uncomfortable if you wear the wrong style. Remember when the low rise jeans were in style? They hit right below the belly button. That style was not for everyone. I tried to wear them but when I did, I kept trying to pull them up, because they seemed too low.
Not only are there different jean rises, but there are different leg styles which include straight leg, boot cut, skinny, relaxed, flare and boyfriend. You will also have to decide if you want stretch, no stretch, dark wash, light wash, holes, no holes, embellished, no hems, etc. This can be overwhelming when looking for the right style of jean for you.
When shopping for jeans you must try on pair after pair, before you find the right cut and style for you. Below are some style trends for this fall.
