Memorial Day

My grandpa served in WWI.  Although he didn’t die during the war, he was mustard-gassed and contracted tuberculosis-living out his life in a veterans hospital.  He died when my dad was only 16.  My dad always wore a poppy in his hat for my grandpa-who I never got to meet, but whose service I  appreciate.  Blessings I enjoy can be directly traced back to his sacrifice, and that of many many others before and after. In memoriam today remembering my grandpa and all those who died serving our country. 🇺🇸
